Sautèed Oysters Parmesan

These oysters can be served as a delectable appetizer or in a fresh bun for an awesome sandwich.

  • cup chopped Italian flat-leaf parsley
  • 2
  • chopped green onions
  • 3
  • drops hot sauce or more to taste
  • 2
  • tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 12
  • ounces oysters
  • 0.33
  • cup grated Parmesan
  • 0.33
  • cup breadcrumbs
  • Salt
  • Freshly ground pepper
  • 3
  • tablespoons olive oil
  • 2
  • minced garlic clove
  • Serves 4


    1. Rinse and drain oysters. Pat dry with paper towels.
    2. In a small bowl combine Parmesan, breadcrumbs, and salt and pepper to taste. Gently roll oysters in mixture until well-coated; set aside.
    3. In a medium skillet heat oil over medium-high heat. Add garlic, parsley, green onions and hot sauce; sauté 2 to 3 minutes. Add lemon juice. Add oysters; sauté 5 minutes or until cooked through. Serve immediately.
